Horrido! by itifonhom Horrido! by itifonhom
This is just another quick rendering, me testing new surfacing and lighting methods. I used this time the well known models of bazze with just a little extra work on the bump maps. The Me-109 livery represents the aircraft of Adolf Gallant, I have no idea about the Spit and the scene is of course fictional. The background is a composite of two images, the main one comes from josewolff and the second one from autiscy, both found at flickr.
The scene was rendered in Lightwave and post processed in Photoshop.

This Masterpiece is Impressive Indeed. You put a lot of time in Thinking this up, envisioning it and placing it down on paper. Although The Originality isn't really that brilliant, due to the fact that many other artists are starting to do the "Sweeping in" effect, But the way it was made..... Perfect... This will most likely not leave my Mind and probably many Others.
You did a Magnificent job on this, and you deserve to be a figure in Art... Love everything in this picture, And every single Detail in it. Remember, Keep trying harder, and Someday you will succeed in your ultimate goal.
Starz out.

Spitfire, No~!

I love the Bf 109 too, but still, not the poor Spitfire!

Hi Sir,

The Adolf Galland's BF 109 E-4 elevators are wrong. They have to be beveled in order to let the rudder able to move freely...

Best regards.

And I think that costumisation deco are on the left side of the planes. Sure for Galland...

Thank you for the tip! The model, although not mine, is quite accurate, itīs just the angle of view that makes it look a bit weird.

This is Cool! and the first thing that came into my mind about the English pilot is that he is shooting the German plane with his pistol....

Is that in a good way? or bad way? if its in a good way, things like that already happened in WW2 when their weapons are out or jammed, they just open up the cockpit and grab a pistol and starts shooting, XD, a desperate way of survival those times ^_^

Always in a good way, I really thing itīs a nice idea. I know about such stories from the First war but to be honest never thought they did it in WWII too, when I learn how to rig a character I will surely give it a try.

Beautiful picture but would be more probable if there would be "hurri" instead. If I remember correctly Jan Zumbach was shot down once during Battle of Britain while flying Hurricane Mk. I. Spits Vb entered service when Germans had Friedrichs.

Thanks you! I know itīs not quite historic the way it is but I wanted to give the feeling of the Battle. If I find a cheap Hurri 3D model I will try this again...

No worries. It's pretty brutal, lots of people die in terrible ways. (Even for an air combat book, its fairly gory!) Written by Derek Robinson.
